Print page ranges on two printers
In this case, we will configure Print&Share to print a document, where specific page ranges are printed from different printers.
In this example we will print the first page of the document from printer 1 and the other pages from printer 2.
By following this example you will learn how to use the Page selection feature.
Print&Share configuration
Please follow the steps to build this case:
- Create a new profile
- Add two channels with print functionality.
- Click on Configure to open Channel configuration.
- Go to the channel configuration of the first channel. This could also be reached by clicking the printer icon of the first channel when the profile is active.
- Select your first printer from the dropdown.
- In the channel configuration of the first channel, click on the Page definitions... button.
- Click Add to add a new condition line.
- In the Range-tab, select First page to select the first page of your document.
- Click OK to close the dialog.
- Go to the channel configuration of the second channel. This could also be reached by clicking the printer icon of the second channel when the profile is active.
- Select your second printer from the dropdown.
- In the channel configuration of the second channel, click on the Page definitions... button.
- Click Add to add a second condition
- In the Range-tab, select Custom: and fill in range:

to select the other pages of your document. - Click OK to close the dialog.
- In the Range-tab, select Custom: and fill in range:
- Close the dialogs by clicking the OK buttons.
Optionally you could even further customize this profile by selecting specific trays on each printer or enhance the documents, insert extra documents, etc...
Note: If you use the Advanced page selection instead of the Basic page selection, you need to add a Range requirement condition.
