Print pages from different trays

In this case, we will configure Print&Share to print some pages from different trays.

In the example we will take the first page of the document out of Tray 1 and all other pages from paper source Tray 2.

By following this example you will learn how to use the Paper source feature.

Print&Share configuration

Please follow the steps to build this case:

  1. Create a new profile containing a channel with print functionality.
  2. Go to the channel configuration by clicking on the printer icon.
  3. Click on the Page definitions... button.
  4. Click Add to add a new condition line.
    1. In the Range-tab, select First page to select the first page of your document.
    2. Click OK to close the dialog.
  5. Click Add to add a second condition
    1. In the Range-tab, select Custom: and fill in range: 2 - LastPage to select the other pages of your document.
    2. Click OK to close the dialog.
  6. Select the first condition line and set the Paper Source to Tray 1 to get this page range out of tray 1.
  7. Select the second condition line and set the Paper Source to Tray 2 to get this page range out of tray 2.
  8. At the bottom, change Order pages by: to No extra pages (1,2,3,...)
  9. Close the dialogs by clicking the OK buttons.
