Plugins are not loading correctly
After upgrading File Processor or when connecting to different File Processor services you experience an incorrect loading of the plugins (input, output, converters, …) in the (client) viewer application.
A possible cause is that a plugin download was interrupted during when connecting to the server.
Troubleshooting
Reset plugin cache
We are going to reset the download cache of the viewer application.
- Close the File Processor viewer.
- On the PC or server with the viewer installed open Windows Explorer.
- Navigate to the path:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Winking\File Processor\Viewer\Plugins
- Delete all files and folders in the
Plugins
directory. Don't delete thePlugins
folder itself. - Start the File Processor viewer again and connect to the service.
Multiple instances running
When you experience that a plugin is added multiple times, try to see if you didn't start multiple instances of the File Processor viewer. Only a single instance of the viewer should run.
- Close the File Processor viewer.
- On the PC or server with the viewer installed, open Windows Task Manager or press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
- In the details tab, end all tasks with
Winking.FileProcessor.Viewer.exe
.
Normally you should not see any entries in the Task Manager, because you have closed the viewer.
